After you’ve learned some basic Jiu Jitsu techniques, the game becomes setting up opportunities to advance your position and apply a submission. One way to do this is by “baiting” or tricking your opponent into going for what appears to be a submission opportunity, when really you’re ready to turn their attempt into a sweep or submission of your own.
